Christian Wrede is a litigator in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation, with particular emphasis on securities and finance-related litigation. Over the past four years, Mr. Wrede has concentrated largely on defending financial institutions in connection with claims arising from mortgage-backed securities and related instruments in the wake of the financial crisis.
Prior to enrolling in law school, Mr. Wrede served as Director, Public Affairs for Gap Inc. and Director, Strategic Communications for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Mr. Wrede’s professional background also includes extensive work in financial analysis, first as an associate in Financial Advisory Services at Coopers & Lybrand LLP (now PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP) and later as a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton, Inc. (now Strategy&).
Mr. Wrede earned his law degree from the University of California Berkeley School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. Mr. Wrede also holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and a B.A. and an M.A. in history from Stanford University.
