MTO Creates New Women’s Initiative

As part of our efforts to recruit and retain the top women lawyers in the county, MTO has adopted a Women’s Initiative, designed to support the unique needs of our women attorneys and recognize their accomplishments.

As part of the Initiative, we offer a formal mentoring program, integration and training events, practice development opportunities and a monthly women’s lunch.  We have also adopted a number of measures designed to address the challenges of balancing work and personal commitments, including a reduced hours policy, a generous parental leave policy and subsidized back-up child care.

Women attorneys have always played a prominent role in our firm, from Carla Hills, who co-founded the firm in 1962, to Sandra Seville-Jones, who was named Co-Managing Partner in 2008.  Through the Initiative, we hope to recognize and promote the achievements of our women attorneys both in the firm and in the community.
