Practice Development Coordinator

Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP seeks a full-time coordinator with the firm’s Practice Development Department. Responsible for all aspects of the firm’s external communications, the group operates in a fast-paced, lively environment and prides itself on superior customer service and impeccable work product. The coordinator position reports directly to the department’s director.

The position will:

  • Collect, coordinate and input data for the firm’s experience database.

  • Draft news stories about the firm and its attorneys for the firm’s internal and external websites.

  • Track press coverage of the firm and compile and create internal newsletters.

  • Maintain the firm events calendar and compile bi-weekly firm events emails.

  • Coordinate sponsorships and related advertisements and attendance.

  • Gather and collate relevant data to facilitate business development efforts.

  • Assist with the preparation of competitive intelligence reports for attorneys.

  • Assist with press/awards submissions.

The successful candidate should have 1-2 years of professional experience in a marketing, public relations or business development environment. They should have excellent oral and written communication skills and have a natural curiosity about the work of the firm. The ideal candidate will also possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and change gears gracefully.

Specific requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 1-2 years professional work experience

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Must be self-sufficient and able to complete assigned task with minimal direction

  • Able to handle occasional tight deadlines and multiple priorities

  • Able to generate content on quick turnaround time

  • Confidence to share opinions and generate ideas

  • Customer service oriented and highly responsive

  • Skilled with MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign a plus
